Virtual Organizing

Would you like the assistance of a professional organizer but don’t have one nearby?  Or do you have the basic know-how in completing your organizing project, but just need that extra push and some expertise from someone that has been doing it professionally for years?  The D-Clutter Company can help!  No matter where you live, we can assist you via our virtual organizing services. 

Who is a good candidate for virtual organizing services?

  • You are a self-starter who enjoys DIY (do-it-yourself) projects, but also needs direction and guidance from an experienced professional organizer.
  • You want to get organized on your own schedule without being confined to standard “office hours.”
  • You know that getting organized is a great investment, but you are on a budget.
  • You enjoy communicating via phone and email and you can send photos of your space via email/text.

What is virtual organizing & how does it work?

Virtual Organizing (VO) is when you and a Professional Organizer work together via your phone and/or computer to create and implement solutions to your organizing challenges.


In our first session, we will determine your organizing roadblocks and then we will create a realistic action plan to get you organized within a specific time frame (this includes homework assignments for clients to complete on their own). The next session (s) will  focus on action and results.  We will speak, video chat, email or text with you on a weekly or bi-weekly basis to track your progress, discuss upcoming tasks, provide feedback and answer your questions. We will share organizing product recommendations, space planning ideas, and other resources to make your life and space more organized and efficient. We will be your accountability partner, coach, and cheerleader throughout the process!  Between chats, you’ll work on your organizing assignments on your own (or with a friend or family member).  If questions arise in between coaching sessions, you may email/text us for advice.

What type of organizing can be done virtually?

  • Home Organizing: from attic to basement and all spaces in between
  • Small Spaces: apartments, condos, etc.

What are some benefits of virtual organizing?

A D-Clutter Co. professional organizer uses hands-on organizing experiences, interview skills, reflective listening, product & resource knowledge, and intuition to create an action plan that is customized to each client.


  • Perfect for DIYers. You really want to do-it-yourself, but you could use a little direction and support, right? Based on your goals, I will help you plan your project and overcome any roadblocks you may encounter. I will help keep you motivated, focused, and accountable until you complete your project!
  • Lower cost than our in-person hands-on help because there’s no 4 hour minimum. We may choose to schedule longer sessions, depending on your situation, but the minimum initial VO session is only 2 hours (1 hour after the initial).
  • More privacy. VO enables you to get advice and encouragement from an expert without anyone setting foot in your home… which is nice if you are shy, or embarrassed about having a stranger (even a friendly, professional, non-judgmental one) in your living or working space.
  • More learning. It’s easier for some people to learn new skills, have greater insights, and establish new habits during focused conversations than in the midst of active hands-on work and visual clutter.
  • More accountability. Shorter, more frequent sessions contribute to greater accountability, more effective maintenance practices, and continued progress towards your goals.
  • Easier to schedule. Shorter sessions are easier to squeeze into your busy schedule, including some weekends and evenings

What you'll need for virtual organizing!

  • Internet access and email.
  • A computer, tablet or smartphone with webcam (i.e., Skype or FaceTime capability).
  • A digital camera or smartphone with camera
  • The physical ability to do hands-on organizing work by yourself (or with help from friends or family).
  • Motivation, energy and commitment!

How do I get started with virtual organizing?

  3. We will contact you to set up our first phone coaching session. We’ll also send you a short questionnaire to fill out and return to us so we can maximize our phone time.
  4. We will meet virtually via phone and email on a weekly or bi-weekly basis as determined during our first phone coaching session.

Self-Starter

Self-Starter Package: If you are a DIYer or need minimal assistance, choose this package.  You’ll get a self-starter kit plus a 1 hour consultation and 1 hour coaching session.  Upon start of project, the completion timeline will be up to 4 weeks. You’ll receive a written action plan after the assessment, plus unlimited email support as questions arise.

Professional Package

$299.00
Pay with PayPal or a debit/credit card

If you have a couple of spaces within your home that need organization, choose this package. Upon start of project, the completion timeline will be up to 6 weeks. You’ll get a professional kit plus 1 hour consultation and 3 one hour sessions or six 30 minute weekly or bi-weekly coaching sessions (or a combination of both). You’ll receive a written action plan after the assessment, plus unlimited email support as questions arise.

Elite Package

$449.00

This is the ultimate package with the most amount of assistance!  If you have multiple spaces within your home that need organization, choose this package. Upon start of project, the completion timeline will be up to 10 weeks. You’ll get a professional kit plus 1 hour consultation and 5 one hour sessions or ten 30 minute weekly or bi-weekly coaching sessions (or a combination of both). You’ll receive a written action plan after the assessment, plus unlimited email support as questions arise.
